Charming little english lloyd loom style armchair, dating from the 1920s/1930s, painted in light blue. The main structure (rear base and spacer) is made of metal; the spring-loaded seat is supported by a metal grid and remains comfortable. The fabric is old, but has obviously been added to the original one. This seat has been repainted several times, the original color seems to have been a pink-orange. The file is made of loom, a technique of braiding kraft paper fibers, invented by the american marshall burns lloyd in 1917, which then developed very quickly in europe, particularly in england. This armchair bears no visible mark, but appears to come from the 'sirrom' firm, morris, wilkinson & co, of nottingham. It is in very good condition, with normal traces of use. Height at the back = 84 cm, at the seat = 44 cm; width = 52 cm; total depth = 55 cm the presence of metal makes it quite heavy and very stable.
