Meissen – Luxury modernist botanical cylinder vase – 1st quality. Manufacturer: Meissen, Germany. Pattern: 'Wildflowers / Botanical Painting'. Entirely hand-painted underglaze by a master artist. The front displays a meticulously detailed, naturalistic depiction of a purple red clover blossom with its intricate root system. The reverse side features a secondary delicate composition of a yellow field flower. The base is beautifully accentuated by a thick, heavy band of 24k burnished gold, applied flawlessly by hand. Sleek, modernist cylindrical sleeve/tube shape with a clean profile. The underside bears the authentic underglaze Meissen Crossed Swords mark in cobalt blue. 1st quality, pristine vintage state with no chips, cracks, hairlines, glaze crazing, or restorations. The glaze remains perfectly uniform, clean, and glossy. The hand-painted botanical motifs are flawlessly preserved. The thick gold band at the base is complete, vibrant, and shows no signs of rubbing, thinning, or wear. Minor, natural water marks and light mineral deposits inside from previous gentle use.
