Set of 5 armchairs by Renato Zevi

Cantilever armchair designed by Italian designer Renato Zevi for Roche Bobois in the 1970s. These armchairs stand out for their tubular chrome steel structure with fluid and sculptural lines, perfectly illustrating the modernist and Space Age aesthetic characteristic of Italian production in the 1970s. The seats and backs are dressed in a fine boucle in a faux solid colour predominantly in ecru, which subtly contrasts with the shine of the chrome. There are some signs of wear on the chrome (see photos), more pronounced on three of the chairs around the seat's chrome edges. The fifth chair has a slightly deformed back on the lower rear part (see the last chair in the series of photos). Dimensions: Height 72 cm, Width 52 cm, Depth 44 cm, Seat height 45 cm.
