Emmanuel Le Petit (1905–1991) — Harbour Scene, oil on canvas

Oil on canvas signed at the bottom right "E. Le Petit", depicting a lively port scene with sailing boats and fishermen on the quay, in the artist's characteristic pastel blue-grey tones. Background featuring a coastal town with its buildings in a row. Emmanuel Le Petit, born and died in Boulogne-sur-Mer, was a painter and watercolourist of marine scenes, specialising in port scenes of the Opal Coast. Original carved wooden frame, patinated. Visible canvas: approx. 55 X 46 cm. Very good overall condition. Provenance: private collection.
