Romantic atmosphere and beautiful sensitive craftsmanship for this original engraving signed petar morozov, bulgarian artist (1880-1951). The mountain and the monastery, in a dominant sepia, testify to the perfect mastery of the artist's graphic techniques. Light and dark are perfectly balanced. The sky, gray-blue, by its stylized treatment, adds a touch of modernity. The freckles in the lateral margins seem to be due to the printing technique (aquatint, etching process).
