Botanical poster, framed Moss Rose

Botanical poster, engraving of a Moss Rose with white flowers, by P-J Redouté, famous for his watercolours of flowers and roses, collaborator with the greatest botanists (1759-1840). This is a vintage print from the Langlois printing house (1950s/60s), framed and under glass. With its original colours, the botanical poster depicts a rose in delicate hues that stand out against the beige/cream background. There are some marks on the background, but the poster remains in good condition. The frame, which is in good structural condition and glazed, is made of wood in a burgundy and gold colour. Some "random" gold touch-ups have been made in places, with the gilding not being uniform on the frame. Details in the photo. External dimensions: 46.5/37.5cm, thickness 3.5cm. Internal dimensions: 36.8/27.7cm. The colourful frame, combined with the delicacy of the engraving, makes this model original, atypical, and elegant.
