Vintage Teak Sideboard by G-Plan

This vintage sideboard designed by Victor Wilkins for G-Plan in Scandinavian style, in wood, with teak veneer finishes. It has two storage compartments with central, removable, adjustable, clean shelves & beautifully carved handles on the doors typical of the period. The piece is in very good condition, & of vintage origin, with some light marks, signs of age, previous use & slightly discolored areas relative to its age, on the overall structure (see photos.) Some marks & signs of previous use on top (see photos with pennies for perspective), a small mark on the front left corner (see photo), but nothing that affects its very cool look or functionality. It has also retained its beautiful original patina over time. At some point, this piece was improved by replacing the original skirt (base of the base), with tapered wooden compass legs, stable & in very good condition which give it height, elegance and lightness at the same time (see photos.) It is stable & solid. It has only been delicately cleaned while respecting its original patina of time. Note: This is a classic piece from the G-Plan line, & the G-Plan identification (stickers), on pieces from this period were only stuck on, unlike previous editions where the branding was embossed , so they are known to fall off or disappear with use over time. Although the sticker is no longer present, we have a second sideboard, identical (fresco model) to this one, which bears the identification sticker on the upper exterior corner, inside the door of the left cabinet, where it would be found on all models of this room. .
