Louison was the kind of piece of furniture that we didn't look at, because it was too dated, too dark... beyond its outdated look, I was attracted by its sober lines. And I admit I jumped for joy after sanding it! What a color! I definitely didn't want to cover up the gold tone of the wood. So I applied a hard base to protect it while leaving it looking natural. In order to integrate louison more easily into our contemporary interiors, I opted for a makeover based on rattan canework for the exterior. The ocher shade that I chose for the interior, strong and warm, brings pep and shine to the whole. What can we say about the hardware that has turned black over the years. After a very good cleaning, I rediscovered it in shades of copper and gold. In order to give it more functionality, I integrated a small shelf into the large compartment.
