Low fireplace armchair

This original armchair (1885-1946), which places it in time and space as a production of the first half of the 20th century. Made of straw for the seat (excellent condition of the whole, including the mulching), and of lightly stained natural wood, this surprisingly low armchair (seat at 30 cm), rests on a cylindrical turned, slightly conical base. The two armrests at the front are also the legs, which they extend to adjust each one a bar clamped at the front, in a small sphere (echoing the one that ends the rear base), and at the rear directly in the conical foot. This chair (1930s-40s), known as a fireplace chair, is no exception and its lines alone are a sign of the product.
