Description
A pair of candlesticks by j.c. Auray carved in solid wood (i think it is jean charles in auray), inspired by breton culture, the side pockets of the apron and the top of the hat or headdress are hollowed out to house a candle. Stylized work of the first half of the 20th century; quality folk art work. Excellent condition.
