Yellow bubbled glass apothecary jar with cork lid.

Vintage apothecary jar from the Verrerie de Biot, made of blown glass with a bubbly texture in a golden yellow colour with olive hues. The container has a slightly curved shape, a thick glass thread applied around the neck, and a round relief medallion on the body. The name BIOT remains identifiable on the medallion, although the imprint is somewhat unclear. The jar comes with a cork stopper topped with a matching spherical glass knob. The cork shows a patina and visible signs of age. The numerous bubbles, the pontil mark under the base, and the small irregularities of the applied thread around the neck are a result of the artisanal glassmaking process. They do not constitute defects or damage. Overall vintage condition is good. No visible chips or cracks. There are slight signs of use and irregularities inherent to handmade production. The condition of the stopper and details of the neck are shown in the photographs.
