Child's desk with splayed legs

This charming children's desk in light varnished wood with its pretty "compass" legs dates from the 1950s or 60s. It has likely seen several generations of children, and its surface bears the marks of this: various stains, small wood chips, and a more significant and unsightly mark, possibly a burn. I have therefore repainted the surface in a soft and trendy colour (Urban Green, rated A+ for emissions) and applied a thin layer of varnish. However, despite this, the marks remain "visible" under the paint (see photos), particularly the burn where the paint did not adhere as easily as on the rest of the surface. Its compass legs provide good stability, and it is very lightweight, which is reassuring for use by a child. It originally had a drawer that is no longer present. It is in good structural condition, solid but does not hide its age. It measures 51 cm in height, 58 cm in length, and 39 cm in width. The height under the support bar is 41 cm; I mention this because I found, with this desk, a chair in the same style, but I am offering it separately here, as its armrests do not fit under this support, which can be inconvenient when the child wants to get as close to the surface as possible.
