Sculptural and atypical, these tripod tables, known as "Cricket tables"—a form once commonly used in rural French and British homes—are crafted from solid chestnut and assembled using traditional cabinetmaking techniques, typical of rustic craftsmanship. The circular top rests on three legs, each with visible tool marks and an irregular shape, evidence of handwork carried out with traditional tools such as a wheelwright's plane or an adze. The natural patina of the wood, combined with its textured surface, make this authentic, raw work an ideal addition to a Wabi-Sabi, Brutalist, Primitive, or designer interior. Signs of use and patina of age, good overall condition. Finished with period varnish. Price per unit.
