Moser karlsbad, art deco vase, modernist topaz cut crystal, wiener werkstatte style, bohemia ca 1930. Perfect condition. Biography: founded in 1857 by ludwig moser in karlsbad (germany), the moser company began as an engraving workshop and grew into a renowned manufacturer of high-quality glass. After acquiring a manufactory in 1893, moser employed 400 people and received several awards, including medals at the international exhibitions in vienna (1873) and panama-pacific (1915). An official supplier to the austrian and british imperial courts in the early 20th century, moser excelled in art nouveau glass, using innovative techniques such as eckentiefgravur. Under leo moser, the company reached its peak by winning the grand prix at the paris decorative arts exhibition in 1925. Despite the economic crisis of the 1930s, world war ii, and nationalization under the communist regime, moser maintained its international prestige thanks to the quality and signature of its works, particularly the fipop series.
