Very large rectangular dish with scalloped edges, made of fine cream-glazed earthenware, decorated with a polychrome floral motif featuring yellow and burgundy flowers, grey-brown foliage, arranged in asymmetrical garlands. The centre is adorned with a moulded decoration in slight relief (scrolls and friezes), characteristic of decorative productions from the second half of the 19th century, notably English ceramics, Nantgarw porcelain, Minton. The style of the decoration — naturalistic, delicate, with muted colours — evokes English productions: The rectangular shape suggests use as a serving dish, presentation tray, or meat platter. Overall good condition. Signs of use and small old stains consistent with age. No visible cracks or major chips. Glaze well preserved. 53 X 40 X 7 cm. Signed under the base.
