Old engraving, the plowmen by Jules Veyrassat (1828-1893)

Pretty little engraving, in an old glazed wooden frame, representing two farmers sitting in front of a draft horse and a donkey, plowing a field. It is signed at the bottom j veyrassat for jules. Jacques veyrassat, born in 1828 and died in 1893 in paris, french painter and engraver of the barbizon school. This beautiful engraving presents a pretty bowl with a few freckles due to age. The finesse of the execution of this engraving demonstrates, here, all the talent of the artist. Size with frame l 15.5 cm h 12 cm.
