Oval Moustiers plate in cream and green earthenware, 18th century.

Old Moustiers plate in ecru earthenware, oval in shape with a scalloped edge decorated with a floral motif and a grotesque figure in green. In the centre, a recessed relief depicts a shell and a well, with the same decoration allowing for the collection of excess juice or water from the presented food. The whole is elevated by an oval, notched foot. In very good overall condition, this plate from the Moustiers production of the 18th century shows very discreet signs of age as well as firing defects that contribute to its authentic patina. Ideal for presenting and serving asparagus or meat, or simply hung on the wall, it will add a vintage touch to your decor.
