Antique plate in pink bubbled blown glass

This rare blown glass plate is old. It is made of bubbled blown glass of a delicate old pink color. It is blown in the mouth according to an artisanal technique and is therefore irregular. The border is hemmed - the trace of the blowing rod is visible on the back. Bubbled glass captures light differently and has a soft and delicate texture. Perhaps from biot or artisanal glassware: bubble glass has made biot glassware famous since 1956, glassmakers succeed by mastering the bubble, to emband it between two layers of glass, thus making a defect a quality. It is an ancestral technique, known to southern glassmakers. In good condition, this plate measures about 18 cm in diameter. It is not signed and has defects (burst bubbles, opaque bubbles, elongated bubbles).
