Set of four original Jindrich Halabala dining chairs, dating from the 1950s and originating from former Czechoslovakia. The chairs are associated with Halabala's H-214 design, produced by UP Závody, and represent the elegant modernist furniture produced in Czechoslovakia during the mid-20th century. The design is characterized by its beautifully shaped wooden backrests, tapered legs and restrained geometric silhouette. The construction combines beech wood with walnut veneer, with the richly figured walnut visible across the backrests. The original period upholstery features a distinctive red patterned textile that complements the warm natural tones of the wood. The chairs remain in good original vintage condition, retaining their authentic upholstery and finish. They show age-related wear consistent with their history and use, including visible signs of wear to the fabric and wooden surfaces. Please refer to the photographs for detailed condition. Offered exclusively as a complete set of four chairs. Shipping will be arranged in two packages.
