Unique and exceptional. These two mugs by the american ceramist jerry rossé do not surprise us their color or rather their abstract decoration and their vernissage. We navigate in colors that blend perfectly: browns, ochres, greens and persimmons with a few touches of black. Jerry rossé began an artistic career in the 20s, his studio was in greenwich village in new york. His work was known for its functionality and its very sculptural appearance at the same time. He will exhibit a lot in the 40s and 50s. His work, however, remains very contemporary and quite in tune with the times. Rare, not to be missed. In excellent condition.
