Iron Earth Plate – Saint-Amand & Hamage, Medallion model

Timeless and elegant, this antique earthenware plate comes from the saint-amand and hamage earthenware factories, two large manufacturers in the north of france, which joined forces at the beginning of the 20th century. The “médaillon” model, adorned with a finely crafted cobalt blue decoration, evokes the classic and refined style of the belle époque. The saint-amand-les-eaux earthenware factories, founded in the 18th century, enjoyed growing renown thanks to their quality production, before merging with those of hamage. Together, they perpetuated a demanding craftsmanship that has marked the history of french tableware. This 24 cm diameter plate is distinguished by the delicacy of its central medallion and its subtle border ornaments.
