Beautiful lantern candlestick from the 1960s with a very nice brown-blue reflective enamel signed by Les Cyclades in Anduze. It is in good general condition, see photos. Height: 23 cm. Width at the base: 10 cm. Born in October 1945 in Fort-de-France (Martinique), son of the Martiniquan writer Joseph Zobel (1915-2006), Roland François Zobel studied at the School of Fine Arts in Bourges, then specialised in ceramics at the International School of Faenza (Italy). He settled in the Gard, in the village of Générargues, between Alès and Anduze. It is in this tourist spot nestled between the hills and the Gardon, in Générargues, that Roland Zobel created the pottery 'Les Cyclades', from which this candlestick is derived.
