Authentic Parisian wardrobe

Here is an authentic Parisian wardrobe, completely stripped down, sanded, cleaned, repaired and then repainted in a very pale blue-grey that is easy to match (Unikalo professional quality paint, Naé bio-sourced range, satin finish, "light blue" shade from the Farrow and Ball colour chart, protected by a colourless varnish). The interior has been painted in a cream white (Unikalo professional quality paint, Naé bio-sourced range). The 4 original solid wood shelves have been sanded, cleaned and their patina has been preserved, protected by a colourless varnish. The doors open and close with the original key, without difficulty or friction. New hinges have been installed. The lock, installed on the right door, works perfectly. The left door is locked with the original hook fixed below one of the shelves, to be hung on an eyelet (new) placed on the inside of the door. Nb: this item is an old item sold second-hand and restored by hand. It therefore naturally presents irregularities as well as traces of time and its life. This is precisely what makes its charm and gives it a unique character. In particular on this cabinet: - The right door has warped over time. As a result, there is still a gap at the top and bottom with the left door when it is closed, visible from the front and from the side (see photos). - The surface of the wood, inside and out, has traces of life and some panels have a relief, more noticeable to the touch than to the eye (see photos). - The spaces between the doors and the body of the furniture are irregular (see photos). - A small piece of MDF has been added under the rear-left foot of the furniture, in order to balance it (see photo). - A small hole had been drilled inside, at the bottom left, probably to pass a wire (see photo) Delivery possible by my usual carrier - contact me for a quote.
