Vintage Tecnolumen Bauhaus lamp

This unique table lamp was designed by wilhelm wagenfeld in... 1923 wagenfeld was 24 years old when he was admitted to the workshop of the bauhaus in weimar as an apprentice. There he designed the first model of this lamp, following a commission from moholy-nagy. As wagenfeld said years later, bauhaus designs were meant to be and looked like industrial products. The italian company tecnolumen still sells this timeless lamp, which became famous as the bauhaus lamp or wagenfeld lamp. The designer himself had given the founder of tecnolumen, walther schnepel, his personal license for it. The table lamp was developed by industrial design pioneer wilhelm wagenfeld (1900 - 1990) under the guidance of bauhaus professor lászló moholy-nagy.
