Rosewood Lowboard Chest of Drawers, Denmark 1960s/70s

A beautiful representative of the danish design craftsmanship of the 60s/70s, produced in the farsø møbelfabrik manufacture. The chest of drawers - lowboard has been finished in rosewood veneer with well-selected graining on practically every side. In addition, we have solid handles and legs and green velor in the first drawer. The piece of furniture is very capacious, neat and, despite its dimensions, visually light. The middle of the chest of drawers is divided into 4 segments: on the far left, behind one door, there is a shelf, behind the next pair of doors that are connected to each other, there is a shelf, and the next pair of doors is similarly connected to the shelf in the middle, thanks to which you can store longer items, the 4th segment is 5 drawers. All shelves are removable and you can change their position to higher or lower or completely disassemble. A practical solution is the sliding door, thanks to which the chest of drawers does not take up free space in front of the furniture, while maintaining access to its interior. As soon as the chest of drawers fell into our hands, we started the full renovation process going through several stages. We thoroughly cleaned the old coatings, then filled in the cavities. Apart from one element, the chest of drawers was not dyed, because it captivated us with its beauty and additionally did not need color adjustment. In the final stage, the whole was secured with several layers of hard oil-wax resistant to water and dirt. It has slight traces of use that do not affect the appearance or value of the furniture. The chest of drawers looks beautiful in the pictures, but live is even better. It is ready to be arranged in the interior.
