Strangeness of this painting in three tones where contrast the harmony of colors, the elegance and discretion of the décor and details - the rattan chaise longue, the bamboo pedestal (small furniture typical of that time, and so fashionable today!) the table top of a beautiful red, taking up that of the cushion, the luminous vase and the bouquet so light, bracelet and ring in gold... And the presence of the alangui character who will not open the book, we suspect... And who, although facing us and looking at us, is no longer really with us...
