Large ceramic pot with a lid. Bernard Buffat signs a unique piece here. Recognised as a "Best Craftsman of France" in ceramics, the artist worked with René and Madeleine de Valence at the Grange aux potiers from 1961 to 1963 and from late 1964 to 1974. During this time, he produced large pieces, some of which were exhibited in 1970 at the museum in Chalon sur Saône. He later opened his own workshop. Gradated glaze on the upper edge, see photo.
