Pair of Bronze Wall Light/ Sconces

This pair of bronze wall light sconces will add a touch of "rococo/baroque" style to any period home. In excellent vintage condition, the bronze has some signs of natural tarnishing and its patina is darker in some areas than others, giving the look and feel of stylish early 19th century "french empire" interiors. Each sconce has two fixed arms with sockets for candle-shaped, screw fitting bulbs. Each branch terminates in a decorated bronze drip tray, with the original imitation "dripping" candle covers that slide on and off of the stems easily. The candle drips are cream plastic, in vintage condition, with a few minor "scuffs", and some "crackle" and flaking for authenticity. These lights are wired with the original vintage wiring. They are both in full working order, the photos show them illuminated, in full working order, complete with "candle" bulbs. *please note that the light bulbs are for display only and will not be dispatched with the sconces due to the various voltages used around the world. The lights fix securely to the wall, through two holes in the back plate. The drop measures 21.5cms/ 8½" (full length of the back plate, not including the bulbs.) They are 11cms/ 4¼" at their deepest. They are 19cms/ 7½" at their widest and weigh 600gms/1.3 lbs each. **please note that vintage lighting can never be assumed to be safe. It is imperative that these wall lights are is checked, tested and installed by a competent electrician before use. They may need to be re-wired, to become compliant with modern standards. We strongly recommend that these lights are checked by a qualified electrician in your own country to comply with local safety regulations.
