An incredible charm!!! Absolute elegance. This Louis XV chest of drawers truly stands out from the lot. On one hand, due to its rather compact size for those with apartments that have little space and do not want huge, bulky chests of drawers. It is made of raw oak and has been sanded to reveal its lovely natural wood. The sides are made of plywood with an oak veneer. The top is constructed in the style of Versailles parquet with checkerboard veneer using marquetry techniques. Note a slight misalignment in the glue between two squares, but it is neither torn nor truly visible. A chic effect from this uncommon top. And what about the mouldings. Of absolute beauty, full of lovely mouldings on the drawers, particularly the small crosspieces that make it particularly chic. It has retained its original rustic handles, giving it a brutalist spirit. High shell feet to give it character. A piece of timeless beauty. That will fit well in a classic bohemian decor, or even industrial or brutalist. You can keep it raw or apply a clear varnish or wax. A safe bet.
