Sergio mazza pendant, 1970s

Pendant lamp by Sergio Mazza (1911-2002) for Artemide in 1969. The "Tau" pendant lamp is part of a range of lighting fixtures named after letters of the Greek alphabet, including Delta, Gamma, Kappa, and Tau. It features a strong architectural design, consistent with Mazza's early training, and a sensitivity to materials illustrated by the nickel-plated brass metalwork and frosted glass inside.
