The presence of the signature formally authenticates this flamed ceramic vase with three handles as a work by Gilbert Méténier, a famous French ceramist active in Gannat (Allier). This model, with a bulging silhouette and three small circular side handles, crowned by a bulbous constricted neck, is quite typical of his production from the 1920s-1930s (late Art Nouveau / early Art Deco period). It showcases his emblematic know-how for flamed glazes and drips, combining shades of tawny, browns, and blacks. It is in good condition.
