Hunting trophy 1916 by naturalist Deyrolle, Paris

This trophy had been in the family home for almost 50 years: from memory, my father had found it in a Parisian antique dealer in the 70s. The animal was hunted in 1916 on Vivreray (probably the commune of Isle Adam - Château du Vivreray); the commemorative copper plaque attests to this. The oak plaque has no defects, scratches or cracks. Some prefer the patina of the years, the trophy has just been dusted off. Very beautiful achievement carried out by the house "les fils d'emile deyrolle" in Paris, one of the oldest and most prestigious naturalists in the world, still active at 46 rue du bac in Paris; .emile deyrolle was a famous entomologist. The label on the back indicates the ref. 3311 - marking in the wood "deyrolle - paris". Approximate dimensions: 60 x 60 cm overall, so does not require a large wall. Elegant, rare and collectible piece. Price justified in view of its condition, the balance of the wood and its rarity.
