TIN MEASUREMENT POINCON GG - GEORGES GRAS COURONNE – LATE 19th century

Volumetric measure in pewter with lid measuring half a deciliter made by the master potter georges gras, from a long line of angevin potters dating back to antoine alègre in 1710, the gras factory is the only heir to the numerous angevin estaigniers, it knows a great boom in the first half of the 20th century. In 1897, georges gras headed the gras company. In 1925, he joined forces with his son-in-law georges étienne to form the gras & etienne factory, located at 71 rue saint-léonard, in angers. This old pewter measure is in perfect condition, the hallmark is clearly identifiable.
