Louis XVI Wall Lamp Lucien Gau Mirror

Louis XVI wall lamp with oval beveled mirror and two branches, E14 socket bulbs, candle covers (painted cardboard), Lucien Gau model. There is a signature under the mirror cover; it is a serial number that is molded into the gilded bronze, which is difficult to read. You can make out the numbers 5, 0, 6, 7, etc. It is in perfect condition, no defects, the beveled mirror is in very good condition. One original candle socket is correct, the other candle socket replaced with a new Bakelite socket. Everything works electrically (see photo). Here I simply cleaned it, removed the dust, and lightly polished it with a soft cloth. Feel free to zoom in on the photos. The sculpted knot and the edges are in gilded bronze, a slightly patinated old gold. The photos were taken with natural lighting and have been minimally corrected, just to highlight the small details like the beads around the mirror and the half-round support of the two branches. (Note the finish of the branch attachments, which are secured with three flat-head screws (see photo). The price is very low because these are wall lights for which there is very little demand. It remains a beautiful collector's item, in very good condition. Price negotiable.
