Gabriel godard (1933-2023) began painting in the early 1950s in a figurative and abstract way, from the 1980s he definitively moved towards abstract art. Present in many museums including the georges pompidou center & the museum of modern art of the city of paris as well as in many private collections. In 2006, the david b. Finlay gallery in new york paid tribute to him. Abstract oil on canvas signed and dated top left g godard 58, canvas size 33x24cm, with its original frame (small restoration not very visible on the upper part, small lack at the bottom on the back of the frame not visible when hanging).
