Space Age Tuben desk lamp by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan

Scandinavian desk lamp. Tuben model. Swedish design by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan in 1973. Typical Space Age design, particularly in this white version with the lacquered metal tulip base characteristic of this first edition model which was later produced with a simpler round plastic base. Apart from the metal base, the rest of the lamp is made of white plastic in very good condition and the white tint is uniform between the different plastic parts of the lamp and not yellowed by time as can sometimes be the case with plastics of this period. The horizontal tube houses a neon which provides a soft and diffused light. The lamp is in very good condition and works perfectly.
