Pair of ancient Kashmiri candlesticks in midnight blue and gold – lamp bases

Very beautiful pair of antique Kashmiri candlesticks, now transformed into lamp bases. A particularly decorative set with a superb hand-painted floral design, blending deep blue, dark background, and delicate golden highlights. Both pieces feature a very original construction with an openwork shaft made of three twisted strands, baluster elements, and a slightly domed round base, fully decorated. The painting work and golden details add a lot of depth to the whole. The two bases are perfectly matched. They have been electrified and are currently equipped with their sockets. Presumed origin: Kashmir, India. Presumed period: early 20th century. Material: wood / lacquered and painted material, attribution to be confirmed.
