Forest landscape

Old drawing dated 1865, signed eb (unidentified). Very beautiful technique and composition, certainly from the hand of a quality artist. Our gaze meanders along a luminous path above which a large tree leans, before fading into the darkness of the wood. At the center of the composition this majestic tree with the display of its foliage, inspires us with the story of the years it has lived through. The carved wooden frame has been completely stripped of its old paint (white/grey) and created a beautiful echo through its material to the motif it frames. The drawing is protected by a glass.
