Murano vase yellow Robert Pierini

"This vase uses the Sommerso technique (submerged glass), particularly developed in Murano. A mass of twisted yellow glass with white threads (mezza filigrana technique) has been encased in a thick outer layer of clear transparent crystal. The base incorporates an abstract organic decoration in shades of green, blue, and red, mimicking marine patterns, seaweed, or corals. It is a 'block' or pebble vase, with a free and flattened shape, very characteristic of Venetian design from the second half of the 20th century.".
