Charles Voltz (1923–1997) settled in the famous pottery town of Vallauris in 1950. A student of the renowned ceramist Robert Picault, he developed his own style characterised by graphic, geometric, plant-like, or engraved decorations, often applied on bold colours or contrasting backgrounds. Large plate with a diameter of 32cm in a lovely glazed red. In good condition, no cracks or chips. Please note slight wear to the glaze. Signed C.Voltz Vallauris France.
