Black cocotte lamp Veb Narva 1970s

The company VEB NARVA Leuchtenbau was founded in 1900. Just after the Second World War in 1946, the name changed to VEB Leuchtenbau, like almost all lighting companies in the GDR. In 1963, around 1.5 million lamps were produced, of which 80% were exported. The one we are offering dates from the 1970s. We love its wide reflector made of black enamelled sheet metal, which provides a beautiful source of light, its flexible plastic neck adorned with two silver metal rings. Its rounded base is weighted to ensure perfect stability. With its total black look leaning towards Bauhaus, this model is to lighting what the little black dress is to women's clothing: a timeless classic!
