Set of 5 linen towels "EM"

Set of 5 towels in damask linen, a soft linen, thick, of magnificent quality, almost in new condition. Very large, as always in the 19th century: 70cm by 85cm, real small tablecloths! The damask is dotted with ears of wheat (symbol of abundance, fertility and wealth), a motif that is also found on the monogram: note the ear of wheat that embraces each letter, brings good luck inscribed on the bride's trousseau... The number 5 is also apparently, in japan, a lucky number. Perfect condition. Machine washable up to 90°.
