This pair of bedside tables was designed by Victor Wilkins and manufactured by the British furniture maker G-Plan during the 1960s. The pieces are characteristic examples of British Mid-Century Modern design, combining a clean form with carefully considered details. The bedside tables are crafted from teak wood. A distinctive feature of the design is the sculpted carved handles and details made from darker afromosia wood, creating an attractive contrast with the teak veneer. Slender, slightly splayed legs give the pieces a light and well-proportioned appearance. Each bedside table features a spacious drawer, providing practical storage for smaller items. The bedside tables have undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating and finished with high-quality Danish oil, which enhances the natural colour and grain of the wood.
