Danish modern hand-carved teak bowl and vase

Atomic age - danish modern hand-carved teak bowl and vase. The teak bowl is made by steffen dyrved, copenhagen, denmark - scandinavian design 1960 - 70’s. The hand-carved wooden vase is not marked at the bottom, designer unknown. Finely carved atomic age - danish modern bowl by Steffen Dyrved of Copenhagen, Denmark. Hand-carved and finished teak wood. Signed with his branded mark on the bottom (see photos). Beautiful abstract forms and carved so as to have a very thin top rim, slightly thickening towards the bottom, and looks great from any angle. Steffen Dyrved had a small shop and is a relatively rare maker, famous for his abstracted bowls and high design furniture. This piece is a very fine example of his work and in near-mint condition with only slight wear. Age: circa 1960 - 1970’s. Both the bowl and the vase are in good condition, as shown in the photos and with the following noted: no damage or repairs. Light overall wear. Near mint. Light wear to the bottom. Probably could use a careful and proper oiling or waxing. Height vase: 26 cm. Width vase: 7 cm. Height bowl: 4, 5 cm. Width bowl: 19 cm.
