Empire mahogany and marble pedestal table

Empire style tripod pedestal table in mahogany stained wood and marble top. The black marble top speckled with natural white fossil inclusions is in very good condition (no chips or cracks); it has been completely repolished by a marble worker (2 fine scratches after repolishing / see annotated photo). The base is in mahogany stained wood with 3 columns connected to the base by a spacer. It has been stripped of its old weathered varnish, sanded and re-varnished with a satin mahogany varnish. Decorative gilded brass elements surround the columns at the top and at the base. - Dimensions: diameter 47.5cm X h55cm. - Very good condition. - 20th century - The top and the structure will be packed separately (the marble top is just placed).
