Loop Candelabra By WMF in Hammered and Silver Metal

Period: ca. 1930 - 1945 this candelabra for two candles is made from a flat metal strip that has been looped to form a perfect circle. A simple ball decorates the base of the circle. The foot is a flat oval. The metal has clearly been hammered and these marks can be seen through the thinned layer of silver plating. The hallmark under the foot represents the wmf brand (3 letters in arch) used between 1930 and 1945. The württemberg metalware factory (wmf) was founded in germany at the end of the 19th century and was renowned for its silver-plated products of high quality in art nouveau style. Their pieces tend to be sought after. Condition: good. Thinning of the silvering. Dimensions: 8.7 cm high, 30 cm long, 10 cm wide foot, 0.580 kg.
