Unique watercolor "tiberias" by anna weingrün-lieblich (1904-1994). Anna weingrün-lieblich (born in 1904 in kraków, died in 1994 in haifa) – polish interwar painter of jewish descent. She began her artistic education in 1922 at courses named after braniecki. In 1924 she studied in paris with chardon. In 1925, she returned to poland, to kraków, to study at the ludwika mehofferowa free school of drawing and painting, and in the years 1926–1931 to study at the academy of fine arts under the supervision of władysław jarocki and fryderyk pautsch. During world war II she stayed in uzbekistan, where she taught drawing. In 1948 she returned to kraków. In 1950 she left for israel and lived in safed. She made her artistic debut in 1933 at an exhibition at the jewish dormitory; in the following year, she exhibited her works twice at the exhibitions of the association of jewish artists in krakow. In the same year, she participated in the 1934 salon at the palace of art. As a member of the professional association of polish artists and designers, she participated in several exhibitions: at the institute of art propaganda in warsaw in 1936 and in the exhibition motywy krakowa. In 1937, she exhibited her works together with the krakow association of visual artists "prąd". In 1939, one of her works, exhibited at the artists' house in kraków, was donated to the national defense fund. The last exhibitions in poland with the participation of anna lieblich's works took place in 1948 at the palace of art in krakow and in 1949 in katowice, łódź and wrocław. In 1950 she left for israel, and a year later became a member of the union of israeli painters and sculptors. In the following years, her works were exhibited all over the world, including in haifa (1954), johannesburg (1954), montreal (1961) and tel aviv in 1963. The subject of her works were landscapes and genre scenes in interiors as well as portraits. She worked mainly with oil or gouache technique. Her works were kept in bright c.
