Exceptional Italian suspension from the mid-20th century, entirely made of hand-crafted natural wicker, featuring a perfectly proportioned spherical structure with a generous volume and strong visual presence. The lampshade adopts a three-dimensional globe shape, constructed from wicker rods arranged radially and uniformly, converging towards horizontal structural rings. This design creates an open and airy sphere, both solid and light, with very balanced geometry. The regular weaving allows light to diffuse in an enveloping manner, casting soft and deep circular shadows, enhancing its decorative and sculptural character. With a diameter of approximately 50 cm and a total height close to 90 cm, the suspension is among the larger models produced in this type of artisanal pieces, making it a central element in the space. Suspended, the sphere appears to float, reinforced by the visual continuity between the chain and the upper structure, also made of wicker, maintaining the material coherence of the whole. The piece retains all its original elements, including the complete structure, suspension chain, and period electrical wiring, which is particularly rare. It is presented in an exceptional state of preservation, without breaks, deformations, or later modifications. An authentic, intact, and very uncommon suspension that combines craftsmanship, volume, and stage presence, ideal for interiors with a natural, Mediterranean, or sophisticated bohemian sensibility.
