Chairs Model 202 SpinStoel by Mark Siepel and Ynske Kooistra for Marko Holland, 1960s, Set of 4

The marko spin 202 chair was produced in the early 1960s for schools and canteens, but today it is the ideal dining chair for an industrial interior, for example. The scissor frame is made of u-shaped black steel sheet and extends to the backrest. There are rubbers between the backrest and the frame so that the force of the spring is distributed, these rubbers are also located between the seat and the frame. We have completely restored the 4 chairs keeping track of the original parts. For example, we repainted the sheet steel frame black. The next job was to equip the seats and backrests with new foam and cover them with verblauw corduroy velvet. The beech wood armrests were sanded by us and varnished afterwards, so that the armrests regain their natural appearance. The marko logo is located on the black frame under the seats.
