This charming jar with handle, terracotta (sandstone it seems to me, glazed outside) will bring a natural touch to your decoration, inside and out, the stoneware being very resistant to the elements. For example, it can be combined with other pots and jars or highlighted in a green plant environment or composed of dried flowers, or receive wooden spoons, spatulas and whisk in the kitchen. It does not have a crack in the container, so it could also be used to contain rainwater for example for watering. The result of an artisanal turning work, which can be seen by its many irregularities, it probably dates from the beginning of the 20th century. And it does not hide its age and the small accidents that have punctuated its long life: a thin crack at the junction between the pot and the lower part of the handle. I therefore recommend putting it out of frost in winter to prevent the water that could infiltrate this crack from freezing and if it is filled and therefore heavy, it would surely be better to hold it by the body rather than by the handle (i tested empty, it holds without problem). It also has splinters around the base and on the edge of the collar. It measures 22.5 cm in height, 16 cm in diameter, about 20 cm in width including the handle. It weighs just over 2 kg.
